Seventeen year old students may be uncertain about making BIG Decisions like where I should go to college?  And what I should go to college for? Many students want college to be the next step, but are unsure of where to go and if they'll be happy after they get there.  

Parents want to guide their children in the right direction, but may not even know where to start or how.  Identifying strengths, abilities, values, and interests that match specific programs of study will guide students towards the right colleges. This can feel overwhelming. I am here to help you and your student to Be Ready!

WHAT DEGREE DO I NEED?

Students ask me, "If I earn this degree, will that help me get the job that I want?"

 Some degrees are clearcut. A mechanical engineer earn a degree in mechanical engineering. However, a forensic photographer may need a degree in photography, criminal justice, and/or computer science.  

I help students match their interests, strengths, and abilities to majors & degrees to help make better, more accurate post-secondary education decisions. Then, together, we devise a "how-to plan" to get where they want to go and Be Ready!

College is not only a financial investment, it's an investment in your time, energy, and the next juncture in life. 

The average cost of college tuition in the 80s was under $1000. Now the average cost of attending college is $30,000-$50,000+ per year. 

Another factor to consider is about 40% of all students going off to college each year do not return for a second year. Sending your child off to "find themself "in college is risky.  Preparing your child by matching interests, strengths and abilities to the right degree offered at the right college helps them to Be Ready! for future success.
